Who can get cover?

As long as you’re an expat, we can probably cover you, with very few exceptions. We’re happy to take on special risks such as military or mining personnel, and we work in almost every country on Earth.

What types of medical plans do you offer?

For Medical Insurance we have five different plans, from simple accident and emergency cover to the fully comprehensive Executive package that offers dental, vision, maternity and much more as standard.

Do I need to have a medical before acceptance?

No. We do ask that you declare medical illnesses and conditions and we might ask for your most recent medical records if there is a pre-existing condition that you want cover for, but there is no need for a medical exam.

What medical facilities can I use?

Any. HCI has no network list and makes no exclusions. We ask for a co-pay on a few of the most expensive hospitals (which we believe to be just eight in the world), but you can go wherever you feel most looked after.

What happens if there is no medical facility near me for my emergency/condition?

All of our plans include medical evacuation, so we’ll get you where you need to be.

What if I have an emergency in the early hours?

Our dedicated claims team are there to assist you 24/7 – 365 days of the year.

Will my job affect my acceptance?

Although we do always look at professions it is very rare that we would decline cover due to this.
